Photography credits

Real places, real photographs, properly licensed.

We don't use staged stock photography of people pretending to write software. Every photograph on this site is a real picture of a real place in British Columbia, chosen to match the page it opens: the legislature for public bodies, the port for business, a 1938 bridge still in service for the page about keeping systems running.

Each is used under a Creative Commons or public-domain licence that permits commercial use. The CC BY and CC BY-SA licences require attribution, so the photographer, licence, and original source for every image are listed below.

Photographs are used as supporting imagery and are not modified beyond cropping, resizing, and compression for the web. If you are a photographer listed here and would like a correction to your credit, get in touch and we'll fix it promptly.
