Why we started Bluestone.
The same problem, everywhere. Businesses drowning in SaaS that almost works. Founders paying $150/hour to dev shops with zero skin in the game. Internal tools duct-taped from Zapier and spreadsheets.
We built Bluestone because software should fit the business, not the other way around — and the best builds happen when the people building it have a real stake in the outcome.
In every serious field — racing, finance, music — pros run custom kit. Software is the same. Stock SaaS is fine to start. Custom is how you scale.

Not the other way around. The single most repeated tell in our teardowns: a team working around their software with spreadsheets.

We offer equity tiers because alignment matters. We’d rather hold a piece of three companies than send 30 invoices.

Custom software no longer takes 18 months. With a tight scope and a focused team, it ships in weeks. We built Bluestone around that fact.

We don’t dump the codebase and disappear. The relationship doesn’t end at invoice three.
