A short letter about this company.

Most of the software a business runs on, nobody chose. It came with the job, or it was the thing everyone else was using, or it was the quickest way to stop a problem five years ago. It does most of the work. A spreadsheet nobody admits to maintaining does the rest. And every month the bill comes in, priced like the vendor is a partner in the business instead of a line on the invoice.

We have been inside that. We know what it costs, and not just in money. Bluestone exists to be the other option.

You commission us the way you would commission an electrician. We walk the building, map out what we are going to do, you approve it, we build it, and then it is yours. The wiring, the panels, the data running through them. We do not own any of it and we never will. When it is done you owe us nothing.

That costs more than renting, up front. It is just the way it is, and we would rather tell you than dress it up. If your numbers say the subscription is the better deal, we will tell you to keep the subscription. We have done that before and we will do it again.

Nobody here works on two builds at once. Whoever is on yours is on yours, start to finish, because a person split across two jobs does not lose a little quality, they lose most of it. We get properly into every build. We would rather do fewer of them well than many of them badly.

Could we build anything? It is code. Probably. But that is not the point. We build the system that runs the part of your business nobody else does the way you do, and we build it so it just works, for years, without us.

We do not put client names on this site, and we will not lean on people we have worked with so a web page looks better. What we have built is described here honestly, without the names. If you want to talk to someone we have built for, ask, and we will ask them.
